What's the difference between a dietitian and a nutritionist?
A Dietitian is a healthcare professional who has completed 4 years of university training in Dietetics as well as undergoing additional training in areas such as community health, foodservice and clinical settings. A dietitian is qualified to provide medical nutrition therapy and nutritional advice around specific medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders and many more. Dietitians are governed and must be licensed to be able to practise legally after obtaining a Bachelors degree in Nutrition and Dietetics.
A nutritionist is a term used for someone who has not obtained a bachelor’s degree or obtained any long-term training. ‘Nutritionist’ is not a governed term and people may call themselves a ‘Nutritionist’ after completing a short online course, a self-study program or purely because they are interested in Nutrition. While a nutritionist may have sound knowledge of nutrition, they are not legally qualified to provide any expert opinions around meal plans, medical conditions, and individualised nutrition therapy.

Will I lose weight in 12 weeks?

Can I workout at home or in the gym?
Workouts can be tailored to suit your specific environment and current equipment that is available to you. This means we are able to cater for both home and gym workouts.
How many days a week will i need to workout?
During your initial consultation we speak about all things training and workout what will work best for you. Training will usually be tailored to contain between 3-6 sessions depending on your overall goals, other personal commitments, and time although this will be personalised to you to ensure you are achieving your goals with the time you are able to commit.
How often do i get to speak with Shae?
Check ins are weekly although a daily habit form will be available for you to complete to ensure you are staying on track and remaining accountable to your own goals. Shae is available to be contacted through the Kahunas App or email and you are guaranteed to receive a response within 24 hours.
What if I need help with my form or technique?
Guidance on form and technique is available within the app and any questions around this may be asked in the check in. The app allows for videos to be uploaded directly to a check in or in a message to Shae.
